Born from sponsorship

I didn't set out to start a company. I just wanted to celebrate Jill.

Jill was my first sponsee to walk through all Twelve Steps, and watching her transform over those months changed my life as much as it changed hers. She went from closed off to radiant. From fearful to fearless. From barely surviving to fully, joyfully alive.

As her sponsor, I got to witness miracles in real time.

When she finished her steps, when she celebrated a year — I wanted to mark those moments with something worthy of what she'd done. Something beautiful. Something that said, "Look at you. Look at how far you've come. Look at who you're becoming."

But everything I found felt wrong. Too serious or too cliché. Too focused on what we're not doing instead of who we are becoming.

So I made what I wished existed.

Eight years into my own recovery, I know that this journey is hard and sacred and beautiful. The people doing this work—my sponsees, my friends in the rooms, everyone who shows up day after day—they deserve to be celebrated with intention and joy.
